How To Remove Turmeric Stains From Utensils And Linen?

  • Acidic ingredients like white vinegar and lime juice work well when it comes to cleaning of turmeric stained utensils. To start, you can prepare a solution of two cups of hot water and one cup of white vinegar or lime juice and soak the tainted utensils in it overnight. The acid in these two ingredients is extremely powerful to pull up the stains that can be removed and cleaned easily.
  • You can even try out baking soda to clean stained utensils. For this, you can simply prepare a paste with water and baking soda and then apply it over the area to be cleaned. Once this has been done, it is time to let it dry for about 15-25 minutes and then proceed to scrubbing it off with warm water.
  • Corn starch or flour is also effective to clean stained utensils. You can simply rub flour or corn flour over the yellow stains of turmeric on the table mats or cover to draw out the oil. After this, you can wash the cloth with a gentle detergent and lukewarm water.
  • Glycerin can be also be used to clean stained utensils. For this, you can make a solution with two cups of water, ¼ cup liquid soap, and ¼ cup glycerin, After this, you can dab the mix on the stained areas and wait for 10-20 minutes and then proceed to washing off with warm water.
  • Hydrogen peroxide is also a great choice to remove stains of turmeric from the kitchen table tops. You can simply put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide or liquid chlorine bleach on the stains and leave it for 5-10 minutes and then wash with lukewarm water.
